Inner Source Workshop 

The challenge 

Many organisations are interested in applying Open Source ways of working internally through Inner Source. However, adapting these practices to different organisations raises both technical and organisational challenges. 

The solution 

Expert Learning Lab brought together experts from Saab, Ericsson, Volvo Group, ABB and Linköping University for a full-day workshop at the Swedish Air Force Museum in Linköping. 

The workshop focused on sharing experiences, identifying common obstacles and exploring practical solutions for adapting Open Source practices to Inner Source use. 

Participants discussed how these approaches can be optimised and adapted to the unique conditions of different organisations. 

The outcome 

The workshop enabled participants to exchange experiences across academia and industry while exploring common challenges related to Inner Source. 

The workshop illustrated Expert Learning Lab’s focus on collaborative learning by bringing together experts from academia and industry around a shared challenge.
